Working as a team it's super vital to have that ability to communicate with each other. I know that's like a stupid common problem- but like yeah, it is. I'm trying to improve on my ability to observe and listen to my team mates and what they have to say. Learning how to take feedback, but also give feedback. It's not easy.
The team's meeting on Tuesday was complex.
Always thankful for Channing and his hard work/ method of organization.
Olivia seems to still...be working on the concept art for the exterior layout which we have yet to see.
I'm really proud and greatful for Oliver and Minh, those boys are really learning how to pull their weight. They're coming out of their shells slowly, but they're really great when it comes to asking questions or contributing to conversations.
Stefan...is tedious.
I admit, I appreciate when he becomes vocal of problem solving, however, sometimes he's the one contributing to the problem. I guess in this case it was confusion of what the task was exactly. I just feel like for Stefan there's always a reason as to why he can't complete tasks.
But today we actually talked through some of the big problems. As a group. We encountered the problem and were honest, not in an offensive way, but in a way that felt genuine, like, "if you feel you don't have the skillset for this task, speak up and we can work on switching tasks, we all have different skillsets."
Anyways, it's hard to have those needed conversations when you don't want to offend the other person's feelings.
I think however it is healthy to have them.
I am a person that works through the method of "mentioned when asked." I won't go out of my way to just say things to people out of spite, however if someone is asking me of my honest opinion I will say it. I will also try saying it the most nicest way I know how. I feel like lots of improvements can be made just by how things are worded. I'm still learning.
Wondering how today would have gone if Olivia was here.
